De Ja Vu....

I don't often get the chance to do a cake twice, but this bride saw the cake from last year, and wanted the same thing. However, it is covered in buttercream instead of fondant. Once again, I forgot my camera, so I used my phone for pictures. The cake table wasn't ready yet, so I assembled it on a nearby table, and they moved it after I left. Hope it was all ok. Such a fun cake to do.

Spring is in the air.

This was for the birthday of a friend down the street. She wanted a cute cake to make it a bit more special, instead of the traditional sheet cake. It was a blast to do. She loves butterflies, so it was a great opportinity to use them to dress up the cake. One of my favorites, I must say.

Birthday cake for a one year old little guy.

This was a first birthday cake for a little boy. It was requested by a bride because her wedding day was also her nephew's first birthday.

This cake was for the neice of a friend of mine. It was really fun to do, but unfortunately, many colors do not come out correctly in pictures. The bottom layer is bright red, but looks almost orange. The middle layer is fuschia, but also looks orange. This is one reason why I don't have many pictures of cakes I have done. Some of them just never look right. Thought I would post it, anyway.

This cake is for a friend of my daughters. She turned 12 today, and her parents bought a cake that I auctioned off at a fund raiser. She said she loves green, so I hope that she likes it. I have heard through the grapevine that she did, so all is right with the world.

This cake was made for a 50th anniversary. I love doing these, it's so fun to see the results of two people's lives. It has all of their children't names, and there are grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also included are things they love to do together. It's always interesting to see the impact two people have in the world.

Barbie rules!

This cake is one I did for my little neighbor friend. Her parents bought a cake I auctioned off at a fundraiser, and this week is her 5th birthday. She is the only girl in the middle of 4 boys, so she is excited for a girly party.

She said that she wanted white cake with white frosting, and lots and lots of pink roses. We discussed a Barbie cake, but I don't think she understood what that was as I described it to her. She seemed to like it, though.
